Our Purpose
Nashim Academy was founded in response to a significant gap in progression opportunities for Jewish women within Europe. Our mission is to build a strong and vibrant cohort of women through education that respects religious values, supports academic and professional advancement, and strengthens the community.

Funding and fee support
If you are a UK or EU student who meets the relevant criteria, you may be able to apply for a Tuition Fee Loan through UK student finance. Repayments typically begin only once you have finished your course and your income is above the repayment threshold.
Nashim Academy also has concessions and fee waivers available for those who cannot afford the application fee or tuition costs. These are handled confidentially and in a non discriminatory way.

DEAN OF EDUCATION
Dr Maya Flax
Dr Flax is the founder of Nashim Academy. She holds a law degree from University College London, a Master’s degree in Criminology from Middlesex University, and a PhD from the University of West London. Her doctoral research examined antisemitism within Orthodox Jewish communities in North West and North London.
She is an Associate Professor, an active researcher, and a published author with peer reviewed work primarily focused on hate crime, including funded research on religious identity among Jewish prisoners.

Have completed at least one year of seminary education
Be aged 17 years or older
Satisfy English language requirements (Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English, or Cambridge English Language 1119 grade 6)
